Naji Cherfan

To find the light within, we sometimes have to go into complete darkness.

Naji was born from Lebanese parents, on November the 20th, 1978 in Amman - Jordan. Soon after he was born, the family moved and settled in Greece. At the age of seventeen, Naji suffered from a traumatic brain injury due to a motorbike accident, in which the driver, Naji‘s friend, was killed instantly. Naji was in a coma for two months, and when he woke up, he was unable to move, speak or see. For nearly eleven years, Naji travelled to therapy centers around the world for rehabilitation. His rehabilitation period is a journey of courage, faith, and determination, which Naji chose to write about in his trilogy:
By writing and publishing these books, Naji wanted to related a message of hope to all those suffering from a disability, especially brain injury. "We Are All Born To Shine"! This was the message Naji wanted to relate to patients, families, and therapists affected by brain injuries. In 2001, Naji Cherfan began working in the family business as a graphic designer and was in charge of administration and PR of the company. In May of 2005 he graduated from BCA (Business College of Athens) with an associates degree in E-BUSINESS. While living in Miami, he studied multi-media at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and conceived the idea for the design of his three books. Virtual Patience was completed in 1998 and contains the details of his accident and recovery. Little Book of Inspirational Thoughts and Writing was finished in 2003. In 2004, he completed Virtuous Life Enlightenment, a collection of images and words combining his sense of humor, experience and philosophy. Naji believed that people continue to grow all their lives through facing new challenges and he always made a special focus on quality, not just doing something, but doing something well.
Naji Cherfan passed away on July 31, 2008 due to an epileptic attack that took over his heart while he was sleeping.
